2010 GoosetheTwin Movie Awards!

Here we are folks, its a 2011, and it has been for a while now! And it is time for the first ever GoosetheTwin Awards! Since January first the goosethetwin academy has been hard at work picking and choosing the best nominees and winners for these categories!  Let me tell you it was hard to do, first Twin searched through all movies trying to find the best. Then Goose and Twin voted. Hope you all enjoy! Some movies may have gotten snubbed but can't win them all!

Heyaaa Goose here, I have to give Reynolds a lot of credit. He always takes my ideas and makes them a reality. I'm clearly all talk. It happened with Harry Potter cooking, our youtube channel, and now this (: But its okay because it makes me wanna be a better blogger folks. But listen, being an English major is (easy) *HARD* (really its easy) But there is A LOT of reading. Anyway, Reynolds put most of this together and I did what I do best, gave my input and support. SOME of these were quite hard decisions but the academy (aka Twin and Goose) came up with ever decision unanimously after some FIERCE debate and tie breakers from the Junior academy.

Hahaha Yes, Goose is the thought and I am the action to thislol. But really it wasn't that hard, all I had to do was go to wikipedia and search through all the movies of last year and pick huge lists of favorites then email them to goose and we picked out favorites then argued until we got winners! Enjoy!

In order to have good movies, some unfortunate few must sit through the bad ones, so we will start this blog giving awards for the worst performances of 2011.

Goose Award (Favorite movie)
Tangled well I love me some Disney. And Disney took it back to the old school animation days with this one. It had an air of Beauty and the Beast about it with the freshness and imagination of their recent Pixar creations. The story was so original. I give this movie and Disney huge props. (And I haven't seen Black Swan yet so that cant win ;) )

Twin Award (Favorite Movie)
I am going to have to give the Twin Award to BLACK SWAN. Everything was great about this movie, everyone invovled clearly put a lot of work into it and it cam out my favorite movie of the year!

*note: if you see names spelled wrong or words spelled wrong they aren't getting fixed, believe it or not formating this thing on blogger was a pain in the ass. if you have a problem with anything you can take it up with google.

I'm A Ravenclaw I Like To Read Books

When I cast a spell its off the freakin hook.

So as some of you may or may not know, I recieved one of the most awesome gifts that a person could recieve from my twin brother Martin for Christmas. This present was a wand, but not just any wand but a want that actually does magic.

Now I bet you're thinking "wow Reynolds you actually used the correct for of you're and not your".
Just Kidding. But really how can a wand actually do magic, magic isnt real?

UNTIL NOW!! muhahahaha. This wand can control the tv and on Friday night Jason, Kathryn and Jma came over and we tried to program the wand to the tv. Now not just any ole muggle can use this wand. After around 45 minutes of practice and working to get this wand to work. It took even more time to actually learn how to use it.

Anything a remote can do, I can do with this wand (along with my 3 counterparts who were along side for "charms" class). Different motions work for different controls on the tv so unless you know what your doing, its almost impossible to figure out how to control the tv.

Now sometimes I even have trouble but lets all admit, this wand is pretty awesome. It will also work on ANYTHING with a remote. All I have to do is get that remote and set it up.

Harry's First Birthday Cake: Chocolate Layer Cake

Okay so I did my first baking from scratch experience ever while cooking Harry's First Birthday Cake (which I made for my cousin Jamee's birthday). It was fun, but I must say if I recall from the movies correctly I think it was pink frosting and not chocolate, but my recipe called for chocolate so that's what was on it. I did have a little help from my mother, who bakes cakes a lot, in order for me to actually know what I was doing but I manually did all the work.

First I got all the ingredients, everything was homemade but the green icing, I was on a time limit so I cut that little detail out.

First think I had to do was make the chocolate for the cake.

Then for the cake itself. I'd tell you what I put it in but frankly I don't feel like typing it out, this it probably flour.

Beat that stick.

This became problematic when the flour decided it was going to attach to the bowl.

Continuing.

Finally, things are coming together. This process was pretty easy but kind of a pain.

Pouring it all in.

Watch out cake boss, Reyn's in town.

Mixing.

Adding that last ingredient, but I can't for the life of me remember what it was.

Poor them evenly into 2 pans

Time to bake!

My mother wanted me to point out that we did indeed you high class chocolate (that she bought)

By this point Jamee was going to be on her way soon, I told Kacie to stall.

That looks so good.

Adding some butter!

Finally the cakes are done, I am starting to feel as if I am on a baking show and time is running out.

I made my mom stir for I had to prepare other things.

Getting that Butter!

Making the icing

Icing the cake.

A little sloppy.

Folks the recipe told me to let it run over the edge, chill.

There tis, It does say Jamee instead of Happae Birthdae Harry. And theres a color problem, w/e.

I added the Candles bc it is a birthday cake after all.

Alas the cake is done, and I even wore an apron to make the experience seem more "real". Hopefully in the future I will be making videos of my cooking/baking from harry potter. The cake was chocolate/coffee. I thought it was pretty good. It had a very strong taste that would be good with ice cream, unless your a big chocolate and coffee lover a big piece probably isn't the best idea. I had a lot of fun making this and I hoped everyone who got to eat it liked it!

Is Jesus a demi god? is rumor willis a demi moore? all of these are questions you are not aloud to ask the pope.

I have been watching a lot of movies this new year bc of the snow. These movies seem to have a common theme, demi gods. and this leads to a few questions.

Is Jesus a demi god? is rumor willis a demi moore? all of these are questions you are not aloud to ask the pope.

If you didn't know I am also the sun of god, or a spy. I haven't found out yet but I am pretty sure Hades was my father. He was hilarious, I am hilarious. Clearly we are related. (ok well he was hilarious in Hurcules...and it was kind of funny in clash of the titans.)

All kidding aside sorry I have not updated in a while. I do still plan on doing the cook book but I have been snowed in so I haven't gone to the grocery store and frankly the first thing on the list is like bacon and eggs. sorry to ruin the surprise, its such a rare meal. not. So I don't want to risk my life driving to get bacon.

On another note I no longer look like a hoarder and I cleaned me room. I also found the money I have been looking for!

I'm Julia Child...I mean Harry Potter?

Okay so as some of you may or may not know I do a sweet ass Julia Child impression. Well everyone knows that there is that movie Julie and Julia or something along those lines and it is an inspiration for my next blog assignment.

I can't remember if I told all of you what I will be doing in the coming year or not, so if I have please forgive me for repeating myself. I am to lazy to go back are read a couple blogs ago to find out. (We also made a video announcing this but we haven't gotten around to editing a posting....or even making the YouTube channel....w/e don't judge us)

I received The Unofficial Harry Potter Cookbook for Christmas and I plan on completing all the recipes for y'all. I will blog, take pictures and maybe if you are lucky I will even video some of me cooking.

Butter Beer is not in the book (boo you whores) but I will hopefully be making it first and pretending because I found a recipe. I will try to do one or two a week. The book is kind of legit though and has over 150 recipes, some from things in the book and others just good ole British food.

So for those of you mathletes out there you probably realize that this will take a really long time, then you have to add in the fact that I am the king of procrastination. It will get done though. Promise. (Ps I had to use a calculator to figure out how long it will take...)

Anyway that is all for now, hope everyone has a great safe New Years Eve!!!

Maybe if your lucky I'll make butter beer tomorrow!

Its okay to be different, if it benefits everyone else.

Quick update before I start the blog: We will soon blog/post videos from out adventure but were are procrastinators (and I lost my camera) but for right now here is one of my Christmas Posts I didn't actually write in post in time. This blog is a total joke about Rudolph.

From a very young age children are taught that they should be themselves and that "its okay to be different". But lets face it, its not okay to be different. People as a whole only except someone different if it benefits them.

Lets take the classic story/song/movie Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer. He had a very shiny nose. Some even said it glowed and people laughed and called him names. No one liked Rudolph, what good was a shiny nose, he just thought he was special. Then on a foggy night he guided Santa's slay and the rain deer loved him. oh now you love him, now that he helps everyone out its okay to be different. Clearly the love for Rudolph only happens when its foggy, you never see Rudolph on a clear night.

here are some other examples.

middle schoolers always make fun of the tall kid, yet when basketball come around guess who is the first pick? When someone can't reach something the tall kid can.

I mean I just want to say that people should be more excepting of Rudolph's nose year round not just foggy Christmas nights.  I know one day I may need a giant to get something for me, or a midget to something from a really low place when I'm 80 years old and can't bend over anymore.

We are all different, I'm super funny and load more attractive then most people. I think differences are a good thing they make people unique.

unless your a ginger. that's never okay.
